Early detection is the only way to prevent acute macular degeneration that can cause vision loss. Today, there are treatments available that can slow or halt its progression. Treatments available in India include laser photocoagulation, injections and a combination therapy that includes laser and anti-VEGF treatment. However, healthy, balanced and nutritional diet boosts good eye health. Green leafy vegetables and fruits that are rich in lutein like corn, nuts, and beans are good for eye health.
