Fitness Mantra: What makes Vicky Kaushal’s physique drool-worthy
Vicky Kaushal could have been found roaming around the streets of Mumbai in search of a film offer, with a bag of clothes hanging from his shoulder — this was a time before Masaan, his debut movie which released in 2015.

Over the last three years, he’s grown steadily and today, filmgoers are in awe of his acting. The Sanju actor doesn’t hold back in making female fans ogle at his fit bod either, through posts on Instagram. It’s equally driven men crazy about how this lanky 29-year-old manages to stay so fit!
Breathing right
Vicky mentioned once that during a film shoot, renowned dance choreographer Ganesh Acharya was overseeing rehearsals. “He noticed that I was panting and immediately asked me to stop. He told me to take deep breaths through my nose instead,” he says, and apparently this brought about a huge change in his life. Breathe in through your nose while expanding your diaphragm outwards; slowly release your breath through your mouth while pulling your stomach in.
Study your body
There is no point in buffing up or wanting six-packs if a person’s core is not strong, says Vicky. Before he started training for movies like Raazi that required him to focus extra on fitness, he started by decreasing the fat per cent in the body through cardio and weight training. It’s only after, did he begin gain muscle.
Sustenance is the key
“That’s the thing about fitness; it needs a lot more than just good intentions,” is a motto Vicky lives by so he urges people not to go in a crash diet or work out for short durations and stop. Work out routines may get boring so mixing up activities like hitting the gym, mixed martial arts of playing a sport does heaps of good.
