The couple is often seen hitting the gym together and giving a glimpse of their fitness by posting their cute workout pictures on their social media handles.
Talking about their regime, Karan emphasised the importance of being fit. “Working out daily is crucial. It’s a constant in our lives and helps us calm down. This way, we channelise our energies in the right direction. We don’t have any fixed routine, but as for training, we mix it up with cardio, weights intense training and yoga. That said, we get carried away while training at times,” said Karan.
Apart from this, they love doing callisthenics. Callisthenics are exercises consisting of a variety of motor movements — running, standing, grasping and pushing. They are often performed rhythmically and with minimal equipment. Such exercises are intended to increase body strength, fitness, and flexibility, through movements such as pulling or pushing oneself up, bending, jumping, or swinging, using only one’s body weight for resistance.
“Callisthenics has been around for a long time but it became popular recently. All you need is a pull-up bar and you can exercise around it including doing push-ups,” he added. A hard-core fitness enthusiast, Bipasha follows a disciplined life and workout plan. “She is obsessed with cardio exercises and is passionate about yoga. Bipasha keeps changing her workout routines in order to break the monotony. When I’m shooting, it becomes difficult to exercise in the morning. So, I go to the gym after the day’s work. I have learnt this from Bipasha,” shared the proud husband. Karan also indulges in playing basketball, volleyball and swimming.
As for their diet, Bipasha’s day starts with a cup of tea and soaked almonds along with warm water. She savours a heavy breakfast that majorly consists of porridge, egg whites, skimmed milk or fruit juices. For lunch and dinner, she prefers only home cooked food that consists of dal, chicken, fish, green vegetables and even salads. Whereas Karan, being a son of trained dietitian, knows all his diet requirements such as what and when should he eat any particular diet.
“I love eating and I eat a lot. While shooting in the city, I carry my dabba from home. Everything is put in separate boxes and packed for me,” he noted.
