A politician recently tweeted a video of Congress functionary Rashid Alvi where he can be heard saying, “Beware, not everyone who chants ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is a saint, but a demon.”

Alvi later clarified that “I had stated that the right kind of Ram Rajya must be inculcated in India, free from hatred.”
Alt News found that many leaders had thus shared a selectively clipped speech by Alvi out of context.
