Flurry of fake tweets on Modi’s gurudwara visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unscheduled visit to gurudwara Rakab Ganj last week, that started a flurry of activity among journalists.
After being informed about the visit by ‘sources’, journalists rushed to break the news. They copy-pasted and replicated the identical text provided to them, including the mistakes.
This is not the first time this has happened.
Previously leading sportspersons had tweeted praising Modi while scribes had also thanked Minister Smriti Irani, without fact checking.
