A video showing people beating up an unidentified man, claiming him to be a kidnapper went viral recently. In the video, concerns about the rising incidents of child abduction were discussed. It says that such incidents can be curbed by being ruthless and oppressive with the guilty party.

The video has been uploaded in youtube. The three-minute video shows the heart wrenching acts of people questioning the man aggressively.

Supposedly, this incident took place in the areas of Noida and Bulanshahr.

In the video, people are seen questioning the man's whereabouts. It seems that he hails from Kanpur.

The information uploaded along with the video says that on 11th August, the man tried to kidnap a 14-year-old, who realising the intentions of the stranger sought his brother’s help. Incidentally, the people around them started hitting the man.

Regarding this video, Superintendent Police officer from Etawa Police Station has confirmed that the incident in the video is not related to kidnapping and that it actually took place in Etawa, Utthar Pradesh. He said that the man is mentally unstable, and that he confessed to the kidnapping because he was not able to bear the pain.

Thus, it is confirmed that the viral video contains fake news. Lives are lost because of fake news. One must be sure before uploading such videos with severe contents.
