    Vivo V15 Pro

The V15 Pro becomes the first smartphone in the world to sport a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. It allows the device to expand its screen: body ratio to an impressive 91.4%. Design is one of the key strengths of this device that features a gorgeous ripple effect on the rear (Vivo calls it Spectrum Ripple effect). It adds an interesting dimension to both the colour variants — the Ruby Red and Topaz Blue.

The 32MP selfie camera pops up seamlessly each time you switch to the front cam mode. The selfie cam incorporates a clever AI mode that smoothens all the rough edges and fixes all those dark circles. The rear cam combines three lenses including a primary 48MP lens (with an f/1.8 aperture), a 5MP lens with a depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens (with a 120-degree field of view).

The 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display (with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio) packs 400 pixels per inch (PPI). The Vivo V15 Pro also becomes the first smartphone in India to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 675 processor; it teams up with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. There’s room for a Micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB) too. Other highlights include an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 3700 mAh battery that delivered great results in our tests. (Rs 28,990)

The best devices we spotted at the Mobile World Congress 2019

The mobile industry’s showcase event takes place each year in Barcelona and kept its date last week. It’s the perfect platform for the world’s leading tech brands to showcase their new launches and set the smartphone trends for the year ahead. Foldable displays and 5G were among the buzzwords this year

Nokia 9 PureView: Move over triple and quad cams, Nokia’s penta-cam is here. The Nokia 9 PureView combines five rear cameras with Zeiss certified lenses — three 12MP monochrome sensors plus two 12MP RGB sensors, to create the perfect image with an attention to details.

Huawei Mate X: Hot on the heels of the Samsung Fold is another stunning device from Huawei with one step in the future. A future where a 5G smartphone seamlessly transforms into a tablet thanks to a foldable display. This one’s expected to be available across the globe in June.

Microsoft HoloLens 2: It wasn’t just smartphones that held centre stage at the MWC. Microsoft unveiled the successor to the HoloLens with a wider field of view and a lighter form factor. This mixed reality headset with a $3500 price tag is targeted primarily at enterprise and business users.

Sony Xperia 1: The brightest spark we’ve seen from Sony in a while, the new-gen Xperia comes with a 4K HDR OLED ultra-wide 21:9 display and a triple rear cam.

OPPO’s 10X optical zoom: OPPO showed off a new concept device with a 10X lossless optical zoom. It’s certainly a big deal for a smartphone and captures incredible details
