    Consumer Electronic Show 2017 round-up: All announcements that matter

    Every year in Las Vegas, USA, tech companies from across the globe showcase their latest innovations at the beginning of the year to the entire world at the world’s largest tech show, the Consumer Electronic Show also known as CES. Let us have a look at some cool products we saw at this year’s event.

    Asus Zenfone AR 

    The Zenfone AR is the world’s first smartphone to support both Project Daydream for Virtual Reality and also Project Tango for Augmented Reality. It is fully loaded in terms of specs and packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 8GB of RAM for the first time on a phone, 23MP camera and storage up to 256GB.

    LG Signature OLED Wallpaper TV 

    This TV is so thin that you can fix it on a wall with magnets. LG Signature OLED TV is going to be expensive but at least the innovation is worth the attention.

    Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 

    The Snapdragon 835 will be the chip to power most upcoming high-end smartphones, VR devices, tablets and even Windows 10 PCs in 2017. It offers better performance with 25 per cent more battery life compared to earlier versions.

    ODG Smart glasses 

    Smart glasses have always been complicated, bulky and uncomfortable to use. The ODG R8 and R9 aim to change this with a lightweight design without compromising on the performance. You can enjoy games, movies and a lot more in a new dimension. Smart glasses are wearable computer glasses that add information alongside or to what the wearer sees.

    Faraday Future FF91 

    A futuristic electric car with both performance and intelligence, this car can do 0 to 100 in 2.39 seconds and also has a driverless valet for parking. Expected to be launched in 2018, the car features several cameras, sensors and radars for navigation and safety. Keyless entry will be possible by just looking into the camera near the door through facial recognition.

    Nvidia Shield TV 

    This tiny little streaming device for your TV has been made sleeker and now supports playback of 4K content in HDR. It also now comes preloaded with the Google Assistant and you can talk to the assistant using the remote.

    Xiaomi Mi TV 4 and Mi Mix 

    White Xiaomi showed off their all new Mi TV 4 which is an extremely thin 4K TV which will be available in 49”, 55” and 65” sizes, unfortunately only in China for now. The company also showed off the White version of the Mi MIX which is a high-end bezel-less smartphone.
