The video ‘I am Chennai’ comprises short interviews with a number of people who helped the city get back on its feet. Some of these names included Evam Karthik Kumar, Chennai Trekking Club’s Peter Van Geit, S.A. Aaravind and a few volunteers. They share anecdotes and hardships they faced while carrying out the relief and rescue operations, especially in some of the badly affected areas like Pallikaranai. Some of them speak about the lighter side of the disaster— bonding with families and thankfully being cut off from technology in all forms. The video interspersed clips of the rains and in the end, shows people carrying boards saying I AM Chennai, and each of them thanks people in the other cities who sent relief material to Chennai.
