A new image of Jesus Christ?
Richard Neave, an expert medical artist, has used science to create an image of Jesus Christ
Chennai
According to Neave, Jesus is not white-skinned or long-haired as he is thought to have been, all these years. He depicts Jesus as dark-skinned, with broader nose and shorter hair.
Neave found three skulls from Israeli archaeological sites and on them he used computerised tomography to reconstruct the shape of his face. Neave was a professor at the Manchester University, and his depiction of Jesus is believed to be the closest to the original, according to experts.Â
It was difficult to tell Jesus apart from his disciples during his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. Therefore, it is only logical that Christ would have had the typical features of the Galilean Semites of the time. However, it is also believed that there is no actual answer to what Jesus’ appearance could have been.
