Two bathing in Cauvery drown, one dead, search on in Karur for other

TIRUCHY: Two youth drowned in Cauvery while taking bath and and fire personnel retrieved body of one and were searching for the other on Saturday. J Purushothaman (18), a resident from Rani Mangammal road in Dindigul and N Viswa (24), an engineering graduate went to worship their family deity at Kombadipatti Perumal Temple near Lalapettai in Karur on Saturday. Prior to worship, the duo had gone to take bath in the river. They were washed away and people tried to rescue them in vain. Soon, the Fire and Rescue personnel in Karur who rushed to the spot retrieved the body of Purushothaman, the search was on for missing Viswa.
