Number of new COVID-19 cases dips below 400 in TN
TN currently has 4,977 active cases of COVID-19, of which 2,305 cases are present in Chennai. After 12,413 samples were tested for COVID-19, Ranipet recorded the highest TPR of 5.9%.
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu recorded 387 cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Total number of cases crossed 35.86 lakh. Chennai reported 88 new cases and recorded a TPR of 2.9%. Chengalpattu had 33 cases and Coimbatore had 27 cases. TN currently has 4,977 active cases of COVID-19, of which 2,305 cases are present in Chennai. After 12,413 samples were tested for COVID-19, Ranipet recorded the highest TPR of 5.9%. As many as 482 people were discharged across the State. Recoveries crossed 35.43 lakh. With no new COVID fatalities in the past 24 hours, the death toll stood at 38,047.
