NE monsoon: Stalin to hold consultation with officials on Sept 26

CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin is scheduled to hold a meeting with officials on September 26th (Monday) regarding the preparedness of Northeast monsoon and its developments.

The meeting will be held at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai and will be attended by government department secretaries, corporation, municipal, local government officials and fire officers. Northeast monsoon preparedness measures will also be discussed in detail in the meeting.

The monsoon season is expected to begin at the end of September and on this regard, the work on stormwater drains (SWD) has begun and works on river, pond, canals, dredging and strengthening of banks are also going on vigorously.
