Grocery shop owner detained for misbehaving with girls

COIMBATORE: A 62-year-old grocery shop owner was detained by police here on Sunday for sexually abusing girl students of a school. Police said Natarajan had misbehaved with girls studying in Panchayat Union Middle School in Pollachi, whenever they came alone to his shop located nearby the school. As many as 15 students accused him of abuse during an awareness programme conducted in the school. The shocked teachers lodged a complaint with the Pollachi All Women Police Station. After an inquiry, the police detained Natarajan. Further inquiries are on.
