Central Revenue Intel seizes gold worth Rs 5 cr at Tiruchy airport
60 people were probed following which 11 kilograms of gold were seized.
CHENNAI: Following a tip-off that a huge consignment of gold was being smuggled through the Tiruchy airport, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence ran a surprise investigation and made seizures.
According to Daily Thanthi reports, 11 kilograms of gold were seized worth Rs 5 crore after examining 60 passengers, 55 are being detained and being probed further.
