CHENNAI: The counselling for the general category students, seeking engineering seats in Tamil Nadu, has been postponed due delay in declaring NEET results.

Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy on Wednesday said for the benefit of the students, engineering counselling for the general category will be held two days after the NEET results are declared.

As the counselling for the students coming under the special category was over, the counselling for the students from academic, government school 7.5% category and vocational was about to be held from August 25 to October 21.

It may be noted that due to the delay in declaring CBSE results, the engineering admission process was already delayed.
