Heavy rains likely in 16 districts of TN for next 3 days

CHENNAI: The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains over some places in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, it has been reported that mild to moderate rain along with thunderstorms and lightning may occur in several locations in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal for 3 days starting today (Wednesday) and ending on August 26th (Friday).

It is expected to rain heavily today in 16 districts, including the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Tenkasi, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Pudukkottai, Erode, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, and possibly one or two locations in Puducherry

Tomorrow's(Thursday) forecast calls for heavy rain in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram districts, and Karaikal, Puducherry regions.

On Friday, August 26, there is a probability of heavy rain in one or two locations in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Kalakurichi, Cuddalore, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Tiruchy, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Kanniyakumari , Puducherry and Karaikal.
