Woman cop alleges torture by seniors
A woman police inspector has made startling allegations of torture against senior police officials in Erode district.
ERODE: In a recorded conversation, Erode All Women Police Station (AWPS) Inspector Neeladevi alleges that she was facing torture from senior police officials. A native of Sivaganga district, Neeladevi joined AWPS station in Erode seven months ago. The inspector, who was deputed on duty at Panneerselvam Park in view of Ambedkar Jayanti on Thursday, had suddenly gone missing. After a search, she was found swooned in Kollampalayam area around afternoon. Police said that she had fallen off from the two-wheeler and is said to be in good health now. Following these incidents, senior police officials are holding an inquiry.
