Two-year-old boy falls into hot kuruma, dies
A two-year-old boy fell into hot kuruma vessel and died in Kumbakonam on Monday without responding to treatment.
TIRUCHY:Sources said that Murugesan, a resident of Kumbakonam, was working in a private firm in Coimbatore, while his wife Anushya, who has been residing in Kumbakonam, was running a panipuri stall in front of their house.
On March 27, while Anushya was preparing kuruma, Rishi, their two-year old son, ran into the kitchen and accidentally fell into the hot kuruma. On hearing the screams of the child, Anushya who was preparing the panipuri, ran to the spot and pulled him out of the kuruma with the help of neighbours. The boy was later rushed to a private hospital in Kumbakonam from where he was referred to Raja Mirasudar GH for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, during the early hours on Monday, Rishi succumbed to the burns sustained during the fall without responding to the treatment. Thiruvidaimaruthur police have registered a case and are investigating.
