Flag row: Top leaders file police complaint against Sasikala
Top AIADMK leaders led by party presidium chairman E Madhusudhanan along with state Ministers and joint coordinators on Thursday filed a complaint with the state DGP office demanding action against VK Sasikala, aide of former CM Jayalalithaa for using the party flag in her car.

The delegation, which comprised Law Minister C Ve Shanmugham, AIADMK MPs KP Munusamy and R Vaithilingam pointed out that the use of party flag by the ousted AIADMK leader will create law and order problem between the cadre of the AIADMK and the AMMK.
Referring to the Election Commission direction awarding the party symbol and the flag to the AIADMK, the AIADMK office-bearers demanded police action against Sasikala and urged the state police to take preventive steps.
It may be noted that on Wednesday Salem AIADMK functionaries submitted a petition to the Salem city police demanding action against Sasikala, for using the party flag in her car in Bengaluru.

“Though there is no jurisdiction for the TN police to act against Sasikala for using the flag in Bengaluru, the objective of the complaint is to prevent the AMMK leaders from using the AIADMK flag during her visit to Chennai on February 8,” an informed AIADMK MLA said admitting that the confusion has already started in the party.
The MLA also noted that a section of party leaders harms the party by antagonising Sasikala. “Either, you should ignore or accept Sasikala, but fighting against her will only benefit the rival DMK in the upcoming Assembly polls,” the legislator fumed wishing not to be quoted.
