Tamil Nadu records 724 fresh cases, 7 deaths

Of the daily total, eight cases were imported from other states and countries. With Chennai recording 208 cases, the total number in TN stands at 8,26,261. The number of active cases reached 7,164, with Chennai accounting for 2,182. In the districts, Coimbatore logged 76 cases, while Chengalpettu and Salem recorded 40 and 48 respectively. Tiruvallur had 36 cases, while Erode and Tirupur had 27 each. Of the seven reported deaths, three were recorded at private and four at government hospitals. The total number of deaths recorded in the state so far currently stands at 12,222. A total of 857 patients were discharged following treatment, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,06,875.
