Pollachi Sex Abuse Case: AIADMK Removes Accused Functionary From Party
Following the CBI arrest, AIADMK removes its Pollachi Students Wing Secretary Arulanandham from the party.

Hours after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested AIADMK functionary K Arulanandham in the Pollachi sex abuse case on Wednesday morning, the party released a statement, ousting the 34-year-old.
Arulanandham was the Pollachi Students Wing Secretary and was arrested with two other accused — T Herine Paul (29) and P Babu (27).
They were produced in Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for a medical examination and were being taken for remand in Coimbatore.
The CBI — which took up the investigation in the case in March 2019 — was recently granted permission by the Mahila Court in Coimbatore to examine the voice samples of the five accused persons, who were already arrested.
