“In my view, there is no possibility of Rajinikanth supporting the DMK. He will support a party that does good for Tamils, and will thus support the AIADMK,” Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar told the media. Tamil Development Minister K Pandiarajan also expressed hope that the actor would support the ruling party in the upcoming polls.
Information Minister Kadambur C Raju and AIADMK leader Anwar Rajhaa said the AIADMK has always welcomed Rajini’s decision, whether on launching or not. Party spokesperson Vaigai Selvan said the decision would not impact the ruling party.
