Udhayanidhi, who toured Tiruchy for the second consecutive day, said that the state government is a puppet in the hands of the Centre and the Centre has been executing their plans through the AIADMK-led government which blindly supports them to please the Union government.
He said that the allotment of Rs 10,000 crore for the construction of new Parliament building and Rs 7,000 crore for the purchase of aircraft for the Prime Minister during the COVID-19 pandemic was not necessary. “While the people were suffering for their daily needs due to the acute economic blow during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Prime Minister was allotting such a huge amount. This is not good for a democratic country,” he said.
Udhayanidhi said both Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam have been acting as slaves before the Prime Minister. “Despite all these, when the entire nation has been under Modi wave, Tamil Nadu is under the DMK wave and we will strive to get a win in all the 234 seats,” he added.
