Anti-socials emboldened due to govt’s apathy towards abuse of women: Kamal
Anti-social activities have increased in state as the government is least bothered about crime and offences against women, said Makkal Neethi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan in Nagapattinam on Tuesday.

As part of the statewide tour, Kamal Haasan visited Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai districts and interacted with the people from all walks of lives. While addressing women in Nagapattinam, Kamal said, he has toured the district during Cyclone Gaja devastation and he knows the pain of the people. He attacked the state government for being careless about crime against women.
“Since the government is least bothered about the crime against women, the anti-social activities have reached its peak in Tamil Nadu and it is time to choose the best people by understanding who would really work for the people,” he added.
He insisted upon the women to tell their men at home about good people and disseminate the politicians. “I am the politician to guide the people on the right path and not a politician taking revenge,” he added. He assured that the MNM will always work for the safety of women and children.
