429 seats allotted in medical counselling
At the medical counselling under the general category for MBBS seats held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Outdoor Stadium on Tuesday, 429 seats were allotted for MBBS aspirants. There were 406 seats allotted in government colleges and 23 seats under the self-financing category.

Of the 452 students called in for counselling, 443 attended the counselling with nine absentees. Of the total of 2,059 seats open for MBBS courses in government colleges, 406 MBBS seats were filled on Tuesday. This brings the available vacancies for MBBS courses in government colleges to 1653.
Meanwhile, of the total of 1060 seats available for MBBS courses in the self-financing category on Tuesday, 23 seats were filled, bringing the available seats in this category to 1037. While nine candidates are on the waitlist, one student opted out of the process. Meanwhile, about 1136 seats for BDS remain available for aspirants, counselling for which will open on Thursday.
