TN Elections 2021: MK Stalin could start campaigning from Jan first week
With the absence of two charismatic figures M Karunanidhi and J Jayalalithaa, the sun of image or symbol politics may well set on 2021 elections.
Chennai
Ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in 2021, DMK's chief MK Stalin could begin his election campaigning from January first week next year, sources say.
He may begin his campaign from Thiruvarur or Kongu belt, which has been the AIADMK fortress.
This comes after his son, actor and DMK's Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin decided on taking a 100-day election campaign on Friday from M Karunanidhi's native Thirukuvalai.
Women Wing Secretary and DMK's MP from Thoothukudi, Kanimozhi too would commence her campaigning from Thirukuvalai from November 29.
Parties are doubling down on their poll strategies --- DMK has appointed new secretaries for districts --- as there are just four months left to the big election day.
With the absence of two charismatic figures M Karunanidhi and J Jayalalithaa, the sun of image or symbol politics may well set on 2021 elections.
It would be interesting to see what strikes a chord with the voters this time around that would fill the void left by two dynamic politicians of Tamil Nadu.
