Countdown for AIADMK ouster has begun, says Stalin
DMK president MK Stalin on Thursday said that the people of Tamil Nadu have begun the countdown for the end of the AIADMK regime and Chief Ministership of Edappadi K Palaniswami.

Condemning the Chief Minister for stating that “he (Stalin) would not be able to contest in election for six years if the election case verdict goes against him,” Stalin said the state people have already decided the place Palaniswami and his associates should be in after May. “People have started ringing the countdown bell for your regime and Chief Ministership. Do you not hear it?” the DMK president said.
Remarking that the Chief Minister was in the height of frustration and shivers day and night worrying that the Rs 3,000 crore highway tender scam put to cold storage by the DVAC could land him in prison, Stalin said the CM was raising the decibel level of his speech to cover up his fear that the corruption engaged in by him and his cabinet colleagues could get exposed after May 2021.
Stating that the CM’s speech about his election case was only a precursor to the egotistic bluffing people would witness close to the ensuing Assembly election, Stalin said, “The Chief Minister has spoken as if he were delivering a verdict in a case pending before the Supreme Court. The statement only reflects his egotistic expectation about the judgment. What feeds his ego? Was it the wealth he has amassed?”
Recalling the Madras High Court judgment upholding his election in Kolathur in 2016, Stalin said the CM’s statement made about the appeal against the HC verdict, and that too in a government function, was the height of contempt of court and people would not be diverted by malicious campaign of the ruling dispensation, Stalin added.
