TN records 2,435 new COVID cases
On a positive side 2,707 people were recovered and discharged from various hospitals in the state.

As many as 2,435 people tested positive for coronavirus in Tamil Nadu over the past 24 hours, reported the State Health Department in its bulletin, on Tuesday.
With the new infections reported, the state's COVID tally increased to 7,31,942 cases.
In the last 24 hours, 31 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, pushing the death toll in the state to 11,214.
According to the bulletin, as many as 2,707 were recovered and discharged today. Also, taking the overall recovery count to 7,01,527.
While the state capital, Chennai recorded a total of 669 new cases, the other districts reported 1,766 cases over the past 24 hours.
