Theatre, college reopening to come up in CM-experts meet
CM will hold a high-level meeting with health experts and District Collectors on the pandemic situation next week. More relaxations from lockdown are expected for the upcoming Deepavali festival.

Reopening of colleges, cinema theatres, operations of buses to commercial areas, and fining of traders violating pandemic rules are the key issues to be discussed, official sources said.
In view of the monsoon, the meeting will also have discussions on dengue cases and flood mitigation measures to be adopted in low-lying areas.
With the State continuing to record around 3,000 active cases daily, the CM will review the availability of drugs and measures taken to reduce the spread.
Last month, the government had opened up business activities and its impact will also be reviewed. Talks will also be held on how to reduce positivity rate, mortality rate and prevent market areas from becoming super spreaders.
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar will also attend the meeting, sources said. From the first week of November, State-run Tasmac liquor outlets will function till 10 pm like the pre-COVID days and there is also a proposal to open the bars attached to the liquor outlets.
