Alagiri raises doubt over Murugan-EPS meetings
TNCC president KS Alagiri on Tuesday questioned the integrity of the alliance led by AIADMK and sought to know if the BJP was a constituent of the ruling alliance.

Describing as ‘joke’ the statement of state Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar that the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) has been paralyzed and many parties would quit and join the AIADMK-led alliance, Alagiri said, “Secular Progressive Alliance is an ideological alliance. It is not an opportunist one like the AIADMK-BJP alliance.”
Remarking that it remains doubtful if the BJP remains in the AIADMK alliance, Alagiri wondered if state president L Murugan, who meets the Chief Minister for courtesy, has met and discussed with Edappadi K Palaniswami in the capacity of alliance party leader? Asking if the AIADMK leadership consulted the BJP leadership before declaring EPS as chief ministerial candidate for 2021 Assembly elections, the TNCC chief said that there could not be a worse shame to the BJP than remaining in the AIADMK alliance without even least respect.
Daring Minister Jayakumar to release the list of parties in their alliance, Alagiri said the Minister does not deserve to talk about SPA, which remains an iron fortress, when it remains a secret as to which are the parties in the AIADMK alliance?
