    Tamil Nadu Chief Minster Edappadi Palaniswami on the occasion SP Adithanar's birth anniversary said that he praised and worshiped his service to Tamil journalism on Sunday. SP Adithanar was a lawyer, politician and the founder of the Tamil daily newspaper Dina Thanthi.  

    Deputy Chief Minster O Panneerselvam took to his twitter handle to praise SP Adithanar stating that he admired the pioneer journalist's love for Tamil and his patriotism.

    SP Adithanar's 116th birthday was celebrated in Egmore. Ministers Jayakumar, Benjamin, Ma foi K Pandiyarajan, the Chairperson of Tamilnadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation Valarmathi offered flowers to his potrait which was placed near his statue. Perunthalaivar Makkal Katchi leader NR Dhanabalan, Malai Murasu's Director Kannan Adityan also offered their respects.

    MDMK leader Vaiko also participated in the celebration and offered flowers to the potrait. BJP 

    Secretary General of the State Karu Nagarajan and Tamil Nadu Congress committe leader KS Alagiri also paid their respects. 

    Perambalur MP Paarivendhar showed his adoration stating that he extended the availability of news in the native language to the laity.

    Indian poet and lyricist Vairamuthu coveyed his respects to SP Adithanar with his poetic words on his twitter handle.

    Actor Sarathkumar praised Adithanar stating that he worked towards the empowerment of Tamil people with his hardwork and simplicity.

    Minister Sellur K Raju requested the youngsters to take oath to protect, preserve and develop the Tamil language honouring SP Adithanar's birth anniversary.

    In Kovilpatti, MLA Kadambur Raju offered flowers to SP Adithanar's potrait and showed his respect.

    SP Velumani honoured his memory stating that he was grateful for Adithanar's contibution to Tamil and Tamil Nadu.

    Governor of Telangana Tamilisai Soundararajan also conveyed her wishes saying that his hardwork made sure that politics reached the common people.
