Tamil Nadu's CM Edappadi Palaniswami defended the stance took by his party in the parliament regarding the three farm bills passed on September 17.

Replying to Stalin's statement on Friday where he said CM is no longer fit to call himself a farmer, CM requested the Opposition leader to refrain politicising such issues.

Welcoming the new bills the CM said it would benefit the farmers and no clause in it goes against their interest.

These bills fetched huge uproar in Punjab and Haryana, popularly called granaries of India, which even led to Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal's resignation from the NDA cabinet. Now it gains attention in Tamil Nadu politics as well.
