Seven people were arrested for attempting to get near the statue situated near the railway station. They were brought down from the stairs leading to the statue, forcefully.
Questioning the reason for them to protest in this manner, they said that as long as former CM Late Jayalalithaa she resisted NEET but the government that claims to keep up her legacy has accepted NEET and not even filed a case which seven states have done so far.
