AICTE raps Anna University after the announcement of 'examless promotion'
The AICTE has warned that students getting promoted in this fashion will not be taken for higher studies nor will they be hired in tech companies.
Chennai
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) issued a stern message against clearing arrears of Engineering students.
This missive follows the Tamil Nadu government's instruction to exempt students who've paid exam fees from writing exams and promote them straightaway.
However, this isn't applicable for the final year students.
The AICTE has warned that students getting promoted in this fashion will not be taken for higher studies nor will they be hired in tech companies.
Moreover, it has warned of divesting Anna University's approval if it promotes its students in this manner.
Reveal of this letter comes at the time when the minister of higher education denied receiving any letter.
