Covid-19: TN active corona cases come down to 51,633
After a long time, the number of active coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu came down from the 52,000 range to 51,633 on Friday, the Health Department said.

In a statement issued here, the department said the number of cured and discharged corona patients in Tamil Nadu was 6,334, which was higher than the 5,876 persons who tested positive in the past 24 hours.
The total positive cases till date in Tamil Nadu were 451,827 while the cured patients totalled 392,507.
The state also recorded the death of 79 more Covid-19 patients, taking the total toll till date to 7,687.
The total number of active cases after factoring in new infections, cured patients, and the death toll stands at 51,633.
State capital Chennai continued to lead the Covid-19 infection table, with 992 more persons testing positive. Its total tally stands at 139,720.
The number of infected children in the state in the age group 0-12 went up to 20,506.
