Expert team slammed for giving wrong key in SI selection exam

Expressing displeasure over the wrong answer offered and wondering how the three teachers who were reportedly experts in economics were unable to differentiate between Devaluation and Demonetisation of currency, Justice R Suresh Kumar ruled in favour of the candidates that the answer to the question on how many times the Indian Rupee was devalued was thrice while the answer key stated four resulting in them falling shot of half a mark as the cut off fixed under BC quota was 48.05 while they had obtained 48 marks. 

“This mistake, though appears to be a smaller one, will have a wider ramification and it would create a cascading effect in the selection process. The reason being that, those who have written the wrong answer, would have got marks for that particular question and by virtue of that, they would have reached the zone of consideration and selected for the next phase of selection,” the judge said. Directing the selection of the petitioners under the BC category for the next stage of selection with two weeks, Justice Suresh Kumar cautioned the board to be cautious.
