Radhakrishnan IAS under self -isolation as family members test positive
The TamilNadu Health Secretary, Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, confirmed the news in his twitter handle.

COVID cases have seen a surge in the state and eventually, its the Health Secretary and his family members who have been tested positive recently.
Four members of Radhakrishnan’s family have tested positive for coronavirus. His wife and son have now been admitted to the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research in Guindy, joining his parents-in-law who had earlier tested positive for the virus.
According to reports, the Health Secretary’s in-law's had arrived from hometown, last Friday and were tested since it was inter-district travel. Both of them along with their two domestic workers were tested positive and were sent to the King Institute for treatment.
Following this, Dr. Radhakrishnan had to self isolate himself as a precautionary measure. Reports said that he will be discharging his official duties while in isolation. The above news was confirmed by later, in his reply to a tweet.
There have been several cases of bureaucrats and even ministers in the state testing positive for the virus. This includes Electricity minister Thangamani and Co-operation minister Sellur K Raju. They have both, however, recovered from the infection. The recent one being, DMK MLA of Rajapalayam constituency Thangapandian.
