Use of unlicensed gun by DMK MLA is unacceptable: TN Minister Jayakumar

Tamil Nadu Minister D Jayakumar has expressed that law and order has fulfilled its duty in the recent DMK MLA's arrest case.

DMK MLA L Idhayavarman was arrested on Sunday for opening fire during a clash with a realtor over a land dispute in Chengalpattu. The Tiruporur MLA was found using unlicensed gun. 

Property developer G Kumar and three others who assisted the legislator have also been arrested yesterday.

Jayakumar stated that the DMK MLA's act to have taken the law in his hands was unacceptable. He added that people express fear over DMK MLAs in general because of such incidents. He also revealed that he owns two licensed guns. He further attacked the opposition party DMK by saying that the party is always known for its 'violent culture'.
