The BJP functionary Aseervadham Achary on Thursday also created a political buzz both in Delhi and Tamil Nadu by tweeting about the possible release date of the ousted AIADMK leader VK Sasikala.

“The strategy includes the merger of sulking AIADMK factions, which includes the AMMK faction led by the ousted AIADMK leader VK Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dhinakaran and also poaching of political talents from the rival DMK. Earlier it was BJP leadership that brokered peace between the sulking Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami,” said a highly confidential source, who is part of the saffron think tank team. The BJP is constantly getting the inputs from political strategists and a recent report found out that the AIADMK without the charismatic Jayalalithaa will suffer anti-incumbency helping the opposition DMK. Further, TN continues to be an Achilles heel for the national party, desperate to open an account in the Dravidian heartland, the source said.

To strengthen the party base, state BJP president L Murugan is vested with the job of poaching political talents from DMK and other political parties. The BJP will also hold mega virtual conferences to celebrate the one-year completion of PM Narendra Modi led government in all the 234 Sssembly constituencies of TN, sources at the BJP headquarters, Kamalalayam said.

DMK is not ready to break its ties with the Congress and in that case, BJP needs the AIADMK to be intact. The party is also monitoring actor Rajinikanth who is dragging his political plunge, sources added.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the BJP president L Murugan on Friday said the party workers will host virtual conferences in all the Assembly seats.

Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal along with party seniors Muralidhar Roa, H Raja and L Ganesan will address the statewide conferences. The conference will discuss the efforts taken by Modi led government and the AIADMK government in fighting covid 19. The conferences will also explain how Tamil Nadu has benefitted from the central schemes, he said.
