Positive cases in Tamil Nadu spikes to 1,384 on Thursday, as the state surges past 27,000 cases

Tamil Nadu which is just behind Maharashtra in Coronavirus cases in India, is consistently seeing over 1,000 positive cases in the past few days.

Capital city Chennai takes a large chunk of the number of positive cases, it alone recorded 1,072 of the total number of cases.

Chengalpattu takes the distant second highest number of cases with 169 positive cases today.

Other districts like Thiruvallur, Ariyalur and Ramanathapuram recorded just in negligible single digits.

On the bright side the Coimbatore, Thanjavur and Thiruvarur's positive cases were zero.

The number of recovered patients are 585 on Thursday, while the total number of recoveries are 14,901.Bringing the active number of cases to 12,355.
