Submit White Paper on finance, says Stalin
Clad in black shirt and trousers as a mark of protest against reopening of Tasmac shops during the lockdown, Leader of Opposition MK Stalin on Thursday demanded the AIADMK regime to release a white paper report on the state finances and resources with details of funds due from the Centre.

Leading the charge of the Opposition against the AIADMK regime for allegedly mishandling the coronavirus situation, Stalin, who waved black-flag outside his house along with his family, said, “It is a shame that (reopening of) Tasmac is the only way known to this government to rescue the state economy.”
Justifying that black flag protest was their last resort after numerous statements, cautions and resolutions of theirs went unheeded by the government, Stalin, in a statement, exuded confidence that the protest would open the eyes of the government and end the silence of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
Stating that it was inappropriate that a spineless government, unable to seek funds from the Centre, has reopened Tasmac shops to manage fund crunch, the LoP said the AIADMK regime, has given them a loophole to gather by opening Tasmac shops, knowing well that it would contribute to community transmission.
Dares CM to launch hunger helpline
Debunking Palaniswami’s argument that there was no starvation in the state, Stalin dared the CM to launch a helpline to report hunger and starvation. “You will know how many lakh calls you receive,” he remarked.
Opining that the Rs 3,850 crore required to distribute Rs 5,000 per family card was less than the sum paid to a contractor, who is close to the CM, Stalin said the government should release a white paper report on the financial position of the state.
