72 new positive Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu government has released a statement that as on 24 April (Friday), 72 new cases have been recorded in the state.

Capital Chennai topped with 52 new cases with more than 5 districts recording in single digits.

The new positive cases are as follows

Chennai - 52

Coimbatore - 7

Krishnagiri - 4

Thiruvallur - 2

Ramanathapuram - 2

While Kancheepuram, Tenkasi, Salem and Thiruvallur recorded one case each. The total number of positive cases stands at 1,755.

There has been no reported fatality.
