Tablighi Jamaat chief releases audio, 30 TN attendees untraced

on tourist visas, for their involvement in Tablighi Jamaat activities. “Along with this (blacklisting), their Indian visas have also been cancelled,” it said. The foreigners and the Indians who attended the congregation are believed to be carriers of the Corona virus to other parts of the country.

The Health officials and police in TN are on a hunt for whereabouts of nearly 30 people belonging to Tablighi Jamaat, who attended the religious conference. Police are hopeful of tracking them down by Friday. “We are

hoping to end the hide and seek game with them by tomorrow,” a senior police official said on Thursday, when DT Next contacted him. Government agencies have intensified the search for them after several of the total 1,130-odd men, who participated in the meet tested positive in the last three days.
