Take multilateral treatment to fight Coronavirus: CPM
CPM on Wednesday urged the State government to take war footing steps on Coronavirus disease prevention and adopt multilateral treatment approach.

Chennai
In a statement, CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan said that the steps taken by the health department including creation of 300 isolated beds in the government and private hospitals were not adequate.
“The state government should come forward to take steps on disease prevention and adopt multilateral coordinated treatment approach,” he said, adding that there was only one centre at Chennai – Kings Institute – to test the samples to detect the disease and announcement to set the second institute at Theni remains only in paper. “To test the blood samples, we have sent them to Pune. The state government should take steps to setup such labs across the state, if possible one each for the district,” he demanded.
Balakrishnan also urged the state government to take steps to use the disinfectant at the places of public gathering including bus stops, railway station, government offices, malls and theatres. “The government should make available masks and sanitisers for the public adequately,” he said, demanded the Tamil Nadu government to adopt the steps taken by the Kerala government for the disease prevention.
