“Let Rajinikanth start his party and announce the policies of his party. Only then we can speak about the alliance between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth,” said Pon Radhakrishnan when he was asked about the statement of Kamal, while addressing reporters at Chennai airport.

Recently, Kamal expressed his wish of working together with Rajinikanth in future. His comments have created a huge expectation in the state politics and on the other hand it has also made some political party unsettle.

When asked about the intention of Kamal, Pon Radhakrishnan replied that in the last 50 years Tamil Nadu has faced a big break and 2021 elections will be a chance to rectify it. “2021 Assembly election is not a movie and Kamal Haasan would have understood this,” said Radhakrishnan.

When asked about the statement of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami that the government is thinking about moving a resolution against Citizenship (Amendment) Act in the Assembly, Radhakrishnan replied that Chief Minister in the Assembly has announced that no one will be affected due to CAA, but due to constant media pressure he has expressed his stand. “We have to wait for the development,” said Radhakrishnan.

He also said that the BJP organised state-wide rally and programmes supporting CAA ended with an event in Kanniyakumari in which BJP General Secretary Muralidhar Rao participated. The campaign has not concluded and if the youngsters are required to be made aware of CAA issue fresh campaign will be planned accordingly.

When asked whether the BJP has any plans to seek a Rajya Sabha seat from the AIADMK like DMDK, Radhakrishnan replied that he was not sure whether any steps were taken by the BJP to hold talks with the AIADMK. “I do not know whether BJP has any requirement to hold talks with the AIADMK, but to speak about the aspirants of other alliance partners will not be appropriate.

Every party has its own stand and the issue has to be sorted out by the concerned party and by the AIADMK which is leading the alliance in the state,” he said.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has understood the requirements of medical colleges in the state and has issued orders to setup medical colleges in two most backward districts of Ramanathapuram and Virudhunagar.

Chief Minister and Union Health Minister Harsha Vardhan have laid foundation stones for the medical colleges now, said Radhakrishnan.
