“TN should not adopt any anti-CAA resolution like other states and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has already made it clear that no Muslims will be affected in TN because of CAA,” he said.

Radhakrishnan also urged the party workers to campaign against the DMK and the Congress that is misleading the public on CAA. “My Muslim brothers should not fall prey for the politically motivated strategies of DMK and Congress. DMK leader MK Stalin is promoting anti-religious sentiments and now there is a need for unity among all sects of people.”

Pointing out that the communal and religious tension has been in the country during the colonial era, Radhakrishnan said Tamil Nadu had always been an exception. “Congress during the polls had polarised votes in the names of religion, but today they are pretending. The fact is that the Muslims in India are safer than those in neighbouring Pakistan. Pakistan will not treat their own people with respect. Bangladesh is a classic example. The minorities in the state should consider all these facts,” Radhakrishnan said on the eve of state-wide protests called by the saffron party.

He added that party workers would stage a demonstration in front of district collector offices and would campaign in support of CAA. “Muslims in the state should understand that India is more a protected country than Pakistan. Only India can protect the minorities and it is the majority Hindus who are always protecting the minorities,” Radhakrishnan claimed.

Ambedkar has assured that India is more a protected country than Pakistan, but certain people fail to understand this. Muslims should understand that we are siblings, he urged.
