The accused were identified as N Kumar (40), resident of Shanmuganathapuram, Arapalayam here, and Senthil Kumar (31) of the same locality. The duo was remanded to judicial custody after being arrested,sources said.

When contacted, S Davidson Devasirvatham, Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, said upon inquiries, it was found that Kumar, one of the accused, had been indulging in such sort of crime for nearly a year now. Sources said Kumar with the aid of his mobile phone shared porn material since January last year.

Based on a report from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, Cyber Tipline, the accused were nabbed.

The investigation team identified the link to pornographic content and traced the user ultimately, Devasirvatham said.

Based on a complaint lodged by Selvakumari, Sub Inspector of Police, Anti Human Trafficking Unit, Madurai City, the Madurai AWPS South filed a case under Sections 67 (A), 67 (B), the IT Act and 14 (1) of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, 2012, sources said.
