Two more nCoV tests turn negative
The State has no confirmed case of nCoronavirus with the samples of two more persons admitted to isolation wards at Government Hospitals in Tamil Nadu testing negative.

“The two patients are under observation in isolation wards at Stanley Medical College Hospital and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital. Till now 42 samples have been taken from the passengers and sent for testing at King Institute of Preventive Medicine (38), National Institute of Virology (4), and we have no positive case so far,” said Director of Public Health, Dr Kolandaisamy. The health status of the passengers under observation are stable, he added.
In Tamil Nadu, till date 24,401 travellers have been screened at the airports in Chennai, Tiruchy, Madurai, and Coimbatore. A total of 1,856 passengers who are put to isolation at their homes are being followed up for 28 days for any changes in their body condition.
“The public are advised to adhere to health advisories issued by the State government and should follow the cough etiquette by covering the face using a handkerchief and using a towel while sneezing and coughing. They should also frequently wash their hands with soap and water,” saidDr Kolandaisamy.
Officials added that all those who arrived with a travel history to China should remain under strict home isolation or hospital isolation for 28 days from the date of arrival in India.
