Sellur Raju makes personal attack against Rajini’s family
Minister for Cooperation Sellur K Raju on Thursday resorted to personal attack on actor Rajinikanth for his comments on Periyar. “Recently, the second daughter of Rajinikanth remarried. Where such remarriages accepted in their religion? Such remarriages have become possible only due to the reformations introduced by Periyar,” said Sellur Raju.

Rajinikanth has been criticised for his controversial speech on Periyar. Though AIADMK is an ally of the BJP and the national party leaders are continuously backing Rajinikanth, the Dravidian party leaders are involved in continuous attack on the actor.
Following the criticisms from Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar, Sellur Raju joined the band of ruling party leaders to criticise Rajinikanth. He praised Periyar and attacked Rajinikanth for criticising the revolutionary leader.
“Even in his 90s Periyar carried his urinary bag and propagated his ideas of abolition of caste and social justice. The issue has ended long back and it need not be kindled now,” said Sellur Raju.
AIADMK leaders criticised Rajinikanth for his comments on Periyar, but for the first time a personal attack has been made on Rajini.
